2nd Foot. Nicholas Argus 5'6" age 21, Complexion Dark, Eyes Hazel, Hair Dark, Visage Oval, Born Cornwall Tregony,
Occupation Mason. Attestation Chelmsford (Essex) 4th April 1809, Period of Service Limited, by whom enlisted Lt G. Williams.
Discharged 3rd April 1816 Chatham, Period of service having expired.
This means he was still in the Army when he married Priscilla in 1813 and when Mary Ann was born in 1815.

It also appears he went to Bodmin Jail in 1843.the listing is under Nicholas Argust but is definitely him. I think it was for debt.
